PROMOTION BY BORGHI AT MIRA-BHAYANDER
MIRA-BHAYANDHAR are 2 Suburbs of Mumbai and BORGHI INDIA decided to follow the SWATCH INDIA INITIATIVE and carried out a Promotion to educate School Children in this area on the types of Cleaning Tools available for keeping your Environment clean. The Theme of the Promotion was “AAJ BRUSH SE SAFAI KI KYA?” Means “HAVE YOU CLEANED YOUR SURROUNDINGS USING A BRUSH?” The School Children were asked to write an Essay or Paint a Drawing on this subject. The competition was held between 17th and 20th of July 2018 in over 50 Schools. On an average 200 Children from each school participated in this competition. In short 9000 students took part in this competition. The drawings and Essays were collected and given to 2 Judges for final adjudication, Mr. Vishwanath D. Sabale, Dean, J.J. School of Arts adjudicated the drawings and Mrs. Mohana M., Editor, Clean India Journal adjudicated the Essays.
The Final 5 Winners in each category were felicitated at an event held on 24th July 2018 at Nagarbhavan, Bhayandhar. The Mayor of Mira-Bhayandhar Smt. Dimple Mehta gave Trophies and Certificates to the Winners. GEBI PRODUCTS, one of leading Borghi Customers in India was kind enough to provide a Kit of Cleaning Tools to all the Winners as well as the VIPs at the function including the Mayor, Judges, Media and Musicians.
During the Campaign BORGHI INDIA created a Song on Cleanliness with a video involving school children cleaning the streets of Mira-Bhayandhar. This video has become viral on YouTube and all the creators of the Music and Video were felicitated at this function.

At the function, 300 students were invited along with the School Teachers, about 200 of them attended the event.
Mrs. Mohana when announcing the Winners also explained the use of Cleaning Tools to the students. The famous saying in English “CATCH THEM YOUNG” was aptly displayed at this event by involving 9000 children to understand not only the importance of cleanliness but which kind of brushes to use to achieve the results.
